Actively Promoting & Progressing Ingleburn
Ned Mannoun is the popularly elected Mayor of the City of Liverpool and was elected to a four year term in September 2012. This is his second term on Council having been elected as a Councillor in 2008. At age 30, Ned was the youngest popularly elected mayor of Liverpool, one of two regional cities of the great south west, and is seen as a leading voice for the region. The big issues facing Liverpool and south west Sydney include rapid urban expansion and population growth and the related demands placed upon local resources and infrastructure needed to create 1000's of new local jobs. The recently announced second airport for Sydney at Badgerys Creek is wholly located in the Liverpool council area and has been welcomed by Liverpool Council as a stimulus for sustainable economic growth and jobs for Liverpool and the greater south west. Ned is committed to delivering on major plans to rebuild the Liverpool city centre, re-energise the city and strengthen pride for the community.
Ned and his wife Tina, with sons Solomon and Jacob, are long time Liverpool residents. Ned has lived in Liverpool for the last 20 years since moving to Australia from Boston in the USA, where he was born.
